TAP Camp 2010
SHOWCASE
The Senior Camp showcases live performance and film screenings separately. The final performance showcase is at 4pm on the final Saturday of camp. It is a thematically cohesive performance showcasing all of the campers as “complete” artists. Afternoon rehearsals prepare ALL campers to perform in the opening and closing numbers together. Between the opening and closing numbers is two hours of scenes and monologues from contemporary published playwrights and TAP campers, tap, jazz and ballet/modern dance pieces, and songs and dances from Broadway musical repertoire. The theatre tech/design majors will design and build the scenery and lighting for the final showcase. Along with some Filmmaking Majors, they will stage manage and run sound and lights. The Film Screening is at 2pm on Sunday. Film shorts written and produced by filmmaking majors and performed by performance majors will be screened for friends, family and campers.
The Junior Camp final performance showcase is at 2pm on the final day of camp (Saturday). It combines singing, dancing and acting by all campers in a twenty minute showcase performance. Using songs from Broadway and Disney repertoire, the campers learn to sing and dance to both popular and obscure songs. Typically, the songs are strung together by a theme or storyline.

The Youth Art Camp will have a showcase of their work for parents to see when they pick up the campers on the final day. Half Day AM campers will be picked up on Friday at 12pm and all other campers will be picked up at 4pm.
The Ceramics Camp will have an art showcase for parents to see when they pick up the campers at 12pm on Friday.
